6 Art and Culture Events Not to Miss this Fall

Missoula offers residents and visitors a plethora of options when it comes to activities and events.  So we rounded up 6 great art and culture events this fall you do not want to miss.

1. "The Year without Summer"Ƿ

Missoula artist, Courtney Blazon, shares her drawing-installation inspired by the 1815 eruption of Mount Tambura on the island of Sumbawa, "The Year without Summer".  

September 22nd - December 31st

 

2. A Sampling of ձëƬ Art

Head over to the Radius Gallery for a peak at three unique ձëƬ artists. Enjoy distinctive contemporary vessels created by artist Josh Deweese, stunning oil painted portraits by Megan Moore and exquisite wood engravings by James G. Todd Junior.

3. "Present Tense"DZ𳦳پDz

Visit the MMAC for a look at this unique collection of contemporary prints that focus on the use of text and language from the collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his family foundation.

4. Catch a Musical

Experience the "nature versus nurture" classic, Disney's Tarzan: The Stage Musical! performed by the cast at the Missoula Community Theater.

5. Festival of the Dead

Keep an eye out for various events leading up to the parade on November 2nd the Festival of the Dead in Missoula, and don't miss the annual  FOTD Group Art Show at ZACC.

6. "Autumn Glow" Fall Symphony

Take in the sounds of fall with the music of Missoula Symphony's Autumn Glow featuring piano soloist, Lisa Smirnova.
